Split PDF online

Turn every page of a PDF into a separate one-page PDF, then download the numbered files in one ZIP. Browser-based processing up to 20 MB.

Turn every PDF page into its own file

Split PDF separates one document into individual one-page PDFs. LeafDeck processes the source in your browser, names each output by page number, and packages all of the files in a ZIP download. Choose Extract Pages instead when you only want a selected subset in one new PDF.

  • Create one PDF for every page in the source document
  • Download the complete set as a single ZIP archive
  • Keep the original page order in numbered filenames

How to use this tool

  1. Select one PDF

Upload the document you want to separate. The free browser workflow accepts a PDF up to 20 MB.

  2. Start the split

LeafDeck copies each source page into a separate one-page PDF without asking you to define ranges.

  3. Open the ZIP

Download split_files.zip and extract it to access the numbered page files individually.

Useful reasons to separate every page

Route pages to different people

Separate a combined approval pack so each department or recipient receives only the page assigned to them.

Unpack a scanner batch

Turn a multi-page scan containing unrelated receipts, forms, or records into files that can be named and filed separately.

Prepare page-level review

Create one file per drawing, worksheet, or proof when feedback and delivery happen page by page.

Split, extract, or remove pages?

Use Split PDF when every page should become a separate PDF. Use Extract Pages when you want selected pages together in one new document. Use Remove Pages when the goal is to keep most of the original PDF and discard only a few pages.

Splitting does not make a page editable and does not convert it into an image. Each result remains a PDF containing one copied page.

Split PDF questions

Does this tool split by page range?

No. This workflow creates one PDF per page. If you need a selected range or several chosen pages in one file, use Extract Pages.

Why is the result a ZIP file?

A long PDF can produce many one-page files. The ZIP keeps the full set together for one download and can be opened with built-in tools on current desktop operating systems.

How are the split pages named?

Each file uses the original filename followed by its page number, such as report_page_1.pdf and report_page_2.pdf.

Does splitting upload my PDF to LeafDeck?

No. Splitting is performed in your browser, and the ZIP is built locally for download.

Will the split pages keep their original dimensions?

Yes. Each source page is copied into its own PDF, including its page size and orientation.
