Merge PDF online
Combine complete PDF files in order and download one document. LeafDeck merges PDFs in your browser with a 20 MB total free limit.
Build one PDF from complete documents
Merge PDF combines every page from two or more PDFs into one file. LeafDeck appends the documents in the order shown, so a cover sheet can stay first, supporting material can follow, and the finished packet downloads as a single PDF. This merge runs in your browser rather than on the LeafDeck server.
- Keep every page from each source PDF
- Create one attachment from reports, forms, scans, or appendices
- Process up to 20 MB in total in the free browser workflow
How to use this tool
Add at least two PDFs
Choose the complete documents that belong in the final packet. Non-PDF files are ignored.
Check the file sequence
Pages from the first file come first. Remove a file and add it again if you need to correct the sequence.
Merge and review
Create merged.pdf, then open it once to verify page order, forms, links, and document-level navigation.
When one PDF is better than many attachments
Client or approval packet
Place a cover letter, proposal, terms, and supporting documents into one file that follows a deliberate reading order.
Monthly records
Group invoices, receipts, or statements for one period before sending them to accounting or storing them together.
Scanned document batches
Join separate scan sessions or chapter PDFs without copying pages into a word processor first.
What merging changes—and what it leaves alone
Merging changes the document container and page sequence; it does not rewrite the visible content of each page or intentionally lower image quality. Page sizes and orientations can therefore remain different inside the final PDF.
A PDF can also contain document-level features such as bookmarks, form fields, attachments, or scripts. Those features may not transfer in the same way as ordinary pages, so review complex PDFs after merging. Use Organize PDF afterward for page-level cleanup, or Compress PDF if the combined file is too large.
Merge PDF questions
What determines the page order in the merged PDF?
LeafDeck copies all pages from the first listed PDF, then all pages from the next file, and continues in that sequence. Check the file list before starting.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?
The merge operation copies PDF pages into a new document and does not intentionally recompress them. It can increase total file size because all source pages are retained.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server for merging?
No. The Merge PDF workflow runs in the browser. The free limit is 20 MB across all files selected for the merge.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
A locked or encrypted PDF may fail to open. If you are authorized to use it, unlock the file first and then return to the merge tool.
Can I mix portrait, landscape, and different page sizes?
Yes. The merged document can contain mixed orientations and page sizes. Check the result if it will be printed or bound.
