Rotate and compress a PDF automatically

Scans and exported documents frequently arrive sideways and too large to share. This preset corrects the orientation first and then compresses the corrected result, avoiding a separate download and upload between tools.

How this PDF Flow works

  1. Choose the rotation

Rotate every page 90 degrees right, 90 degrees left, or turn it 180 degrees.

  2. Check the order

Rotation stays before compression so the final orientation is established before optimization.

  3. Download the smaller PDF

The rotated result is compressed and downloaded when the Flow finishes.

Why rotate before compression?

Rotation should define the finished page orientation before the file is optimized. The rotation itself normally changes little or nothing about file size; compression is the step intended to reduce the final document.

Common uses

  • Fix sideways phone scans
  • Correct landscape reports before email
  • Prepare uploaded forms with the right orientation
  • Reduce a corrected scan for storage

Frequently asked questions

Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?

LeafDeck changes the page rotation rather than taking a new screenshot, so the rotation step is not intended to reduce visual quality.

Can I rotate only certain pages?

This Flow rotates every page in each selected PDF. Use the standalone Rotate PDF tool when you need more selective page editing.

Why might the compressed file remain similar in size?

A PDF that is already optimized may not shrink much. Scanned or image-heavy documents generally offer more room for reduction.
